Memories (Wish they had Nipples)

Special moments,
Stranded in time ..
The same old songs,
Playing backward rhyme ..

Highway madness, urban design
The innocence of children
We've left the World behind...
Carved out of rock and hopelessness,
Wild-eyed and staring
Juvenile, caring

Look out for her
She'll be wearing
The same old clothes
You saw her in last
With the same ol' smile
And everything will be just like
That special moment
Stranded in time

Dreamers and schemers,
Scam-artists all,
Hanging on
Dare to ask
What the fuck
Is going on
Jus' killin' it, bro
Malad West to Rampart Row
Truth 'n light
Keeping on the fight
The city she loves me ...

The times of love,
Where have they gone,
We knew them once
Saw her reflected
On the beaches of our dreams
Staring into each others eyes
Forever
We saw all the beauty
Captured infinity in a tea-cup
Drank her down and laughed at our own impermanence...

It's all gone now...
Give me back my stuff,
I'll go my way and you go yours
But if you ever reach that place again
That place where the broken-hearted go,
You can be rest assured,
I'll be there

Many years from now
We'll still have our memories
And know we'll always care ...
